Sarah Minto-Sparks is a Boulder based Folk musician originally from Austin, Texas. On March 15th Minto-Sparks released her debut EP “Stoned I Left Rocky” via Busted Coyote Records after performing frequently all over Colorado. The EP finds itself in a familiar but ambitious Texas style with a hint of the Boulder Indie scene for good measure. Simple instrumentation, solo vocals, and a male dominated genre do nothing to hold down the creativity and abilities of Minto-Sparks throughout the entirety of the EP.

Opening with a very classic country feel the title track introduces the EP with wonderful production, energy, and performance before moving to Minto-Sparks’ speciality with more sombre and emotional vocals over finger picked guitar. “I’ll Be Here In The Morning” and “Love Lost December” are stand out tracks combining Minto-Sparks’ Texas twang with a slow ballad feel and poetic lyricism.
